Welcome to Kennel Burnfoot

Burnfoot kennel is mainly about preserving the PROPER AmStaff which is something you will (unfortunately) rarely encounter. This means to put temperament first and with that we don't mean good or great temperament, we mean true AmStaff temperament which is something completely different. Health and a moderate type is also on the top of our list, this breed is supposed to be the supreme canine athlete and nothing else. You will not see us breeding lots of litters because we like to enjoy our dogs and not live of them.

Our quest for knowledge has taken us on trips across the world and the biggest reward has been some great friendships and the opportunity to learn from some of the greatest people in this breed who have decades of experience. We are very grateful to these people and we hope to live up to the trust and legacy given to us. Some of these people you can see on our links page.
